South African Police for 14 years in the SAP COIN Unit, Koevoet, and the Internal Stability Division Operational Response Services, as well as Public Order Police. He has been Provincial Head, Area Commander and Unit Commander.

It is with sadness that we are informed of Gert Nel’s passing. Gert joined SAMVOZA in 2013 and was the Zone Chairman until 2015 when he took up the post of Limpopo Regional Chairman.
This photo shows him holding the SAMVOZA standard.
He assisted many of our Police Veterans across the country. He will not be forgotten. Our condolences to the Nel family.
