Vale Veteran Rowland "Rolly" John Ross - SAMVOZA

It is with great sadness that we must share the news of the passing of SAMVOZA Veteran Rowland "Rolly" John Ross earlier this month.

Rolly served as a Sergeant in the SA Irish Regiment from 1966 - 1976. He was part of the Hunter Training established by the SA Irish Regiment in 1968 - the forerunner of the Recces.

Veteran Godfrey Giles shared these thoughts: "I remember him during our Saturday training exercises as a gentle soul with a big heart... He served his country well; we will miss him but not forget him.

Our condolences to his family. May His Soul Rest in Peace now."
