This outreach from Just Love Mission was made possible by the Mission itself and the South African Military Veterans Organization International (SAMVOINT).

Tannie Lena from Ouma Lena se Huis in Melkhoutfontein also had the privilege to fly with some of the children.

Each child received a gift pack and will be presented with a certificate of participation.

It was deemed by the sponsor to be a great success and a follow up outreach is planned for the future to include the areas of Riversdale and Albertinia.

We would like to give a thanks to the Stilbaai Police Station and Hesseque Municipal Safety Department for all their professional assistance to make this a success. Also to Jenny Olivier for arranging the children to be collected by Fred Smook Vervoer.

SAMVOINT Remote Community Upliftment Program,

Incorporating SAMVOA, SAMVOZA & SAMVOUSA",

Joy rides for underprivileged children

For the past 2 years, SAMVOINT has focused on the “Remote Community Upliftment Program” (RCUP), which differentiates SAMVOINT (SAMVOA, SAMVOZA and SAMVOUSA) from other military veteran organisations, in that this community development program is entirely dependent on applying the skills of our members to the benefit of remote communities.

Just Love is based on the concept and application of Antonov An-2 aircraft in order to support not-for-profit charity and community support initiatives such as lifting the lives of less fortunate, possibly living in remote locations, In this way, our project supports the special wishes of children and adults alike, who have never been up in an aircraft, or those whose dream it is to be able to fly in an aircraft.

As a Veteran Organisation, we are in a unique position of having many pilots aircraft-skilled crew members. In addition, SAMVOINT also has a large number of tradesmen and skilled personnel over many disciplines within our membership.

An example of such a project took place on Sunday 27th and Monday the 28th December, 2015 and SAMVOINT’s contribution was “Little Annie”, its pilot and crew and members with trades. The minders were from “Ouma Lena se Huis” in Melkhoutfontein, who participated in an outreach project in the Stilbaai area of the Western Cape.

The day’s events saw 104 disadvantaged, orphaned, abandoned and / or abused youngsters enjoy an amazing day out, doing something they would never otherwise have done – fly in an aeroplane. Tannie Lena from “Ouma Lena se Huis” also took advantage of the opportunity fly with some of the children.
Each child received a gift pack and was later presented with a certificate of participation.
The SAMVOINT Team and the local institution felt that this made a meaningful difference in their lives and that they, in turn, “will pay it forward” in their own way, so that others may benefit and to ultimate contribute to better societies being built for the future.

Those who made it possible included the Stilbaai Police Station and the Hesseque Municipal Safety Department for their professional assistance, as well as Ms Jenny Olivier for arranging for the children to be collected and transported by Fred Smook Vervoer.

Kinders kry vlerke met Little Annie
